1. Choose affiliate programs that relate very
closely to the theme of your website. Let me give
you an example. Of the three affiliate products I
sell from my web site, the one that does best by
a long way is an eBook that shows people how to
generate free Ezine advertising. Why does it do
so well? Because my website is a directory of
ezines and most of my visitors are already
interested in Ezine Advertising before they even
arrive at my website - I don’t have to persuade
them very much.

2. Buy the product yourself! Research across
dozens of affiliate programs shows that at least
70% of sales in any affiliate program are made by
the small percentage of affiliates who actually
buy the product they’re selling. It makes sense
doesn’t it (how can you recommend something
you’ve never used)?

3. Banners - they don’t work anymore, and some
experts believe banners will actually damage your
affiliate sales.

4. Personal recommendation. The human factor is
very important on the Internet - people want to
know that someone else has bought the product and
that it worked for them. But to write a
convincing personal recommendation, you’ll have
to buy, read and use the product you’re selling.

5. ‘Over-selling’ - this is the most common
mistake of affiliates. Keep in mind that all you
need to do to succeed with affiliate programs is
to get your potential customer to click through
to the affiliate website in an ‘open-to-buy’
mindset. If the affiliate program is good, the
affiliate website will make the sale. So don’t
try to sell the product from your website - just
aim to get a click on your affiliate link.

5. Standard Ads. When you join an affiliate
program, you’ll probably be given some standard
ads to use. Don’t use them! Why? Because your
potential customer has probably seen those exact
same ads on dozens of websites and in dozens of
Ezines. And if that standard ad hasn’t led them
to buy the product so far, it probably won’t now.
Something new and original is required.

6. Back-end sales. Once you’re succeeding in one
affiliate program, join another program that
offers a related product and use the technique
that marketers call ‘back-end’ sales. It’s a well
known fact that people are much more likely to
buy from someone they have already bought from.
So when someone makes a purchase from your
affiliate link, send them a nice follow-up
letter. At the end of the letter, tell them about
your other affiliate product and how it can help
them.

impact of noise on employees in an open area office space where
people are constantly exposed to fax machines, telephones,
office chatter, shredding machines, etc. Test results revealed
that workers in an open area had high levels of adrenalin in
their urine. Adrenalin is released by the body when under
stress. It prepares us for fight or flight. When these employees
were compared to those in self contained office spaces the
results were startling. People in a quiet, self contained work
area did not have the same high levels of adrenalin in their
urine. They were much more relaxed and less stressed.

A puzzle, demanding attention and concentration, was given to
both groups of employees. The open area group was found to be
less diligent in the solution of the puzzle becoming easily
frustrated and giving up much earlier than the group from the
quiet office. The study also found that workers from the quiet
office slept better at night, had better digestion, were much
less irritable at home and felt better at the end of their
workday than employees from the open concept office. Noise does
seem to effect focus, productivity and general physical and
psychological well being. Noise tends to increase stress levels
which in turn can result in increased frustration, anger and
strained interpersonal relationships. We must begin to establish
a friendship with silence.

How to Make a Friend of Silence

While we have very little control over noise in the environment
at large, we do have control over our own private environment.
This is where we begin to cultivate a friendship with silence.

* Make a conscious commitment to the experience and appreciation
of silence.

* Go for a walk in nature. Let the silence soothe your spirit.

* When you are alone in your residence turn off all noise making
appliances. Begin with fifteen minutes of silence and gradually
increase the duration.

* Learn how to meditate and schedule a ten minute meditation
period once or twice a day. Gradually extend your meditation
time.

* When driving to work, turn off your car radio and drive in
silence.

* Go camping for an night by yourself. Find a quiet campground
where they don’t allow people to blast their music without
consideration for others. I usually go solo camping for one week
each year to be alone and silent in the outdoors. It has become
something I eagerly look forward to.

* Drive to a lake at sunset and rent a canoe. Paddle slowly
along the shoreline observing the silent sights and the gentle
sounds of nature as the sun sets and darkness approaches.

* In silence listen to your breathing. Get a sense of the silent
rhythm of life.

* Just before retiring go outside and look up at the night sky.
You will soon sense another universal rhythm so unfamiliar to
many. Let the night sky and the darkness embrace you and calm
you as you prepare for a night’s rest.

* When you read a book, do so in silence. Many of us read to
music or during television commercials. Try silence. You’ll grow
to love it.

Soon you will begin to cherish the periods of silence you have
built into your day and long for more. You will quickly discover
that you are becoming more relaxed and less tense even in the
midst of our noisy world. You will have made an invaluable new
friend of silence, a friend which can comfort, heal and soothe
your spirit. What a gift you will have given yourself.

Many have given up on trying to be a citizen of any country and only live for the day, hoping to get a bit of food from somewhere. Multitudes are blinded to the light by problems and situations that they have found themselves in. Others have been taught as a Child to not expect any thing good in this life. In Luke 1:79, we see a reason to give light in a dark world. ” To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

” To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, the darkness of sin and the shadow of eternal death without hope nor escape. A Darkness without the Father. We have read before;” Ye, thou I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;”

The valley spoken of here is the outside world that we step into each and every day. We must be a light, if not, we may have the blood of those that we could have shown the way, on our hands. There is no super Christian, at least I haven’t seen one. We are all the light, shining together as one to open up the darkness and show the way of peace, peace not in this life but rather into the next. Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. If therefore thine eye be single, meaning that ones purpose in life must be to please the Father in Spirit, without any other agenda. We are sent into the world to fulfill the will of our Father.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men (Your Testimony of Jesus.), that they may see your good works (These are the works and actions of not only of the Spirit but also of the flesh.), and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Seeking only to Glorify God and not of ourselves.)

Luke 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. ( Let not your light be one of self glorification. Keeping your mission always to gain souls for Gods kingdom and not trying to set up your own.) John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. The darkness in this world is choking multitudes, killing them from within. The light that we shine is not accepted to many that prefer the darkness and many do not understand the willingness of a Loving God to Save them. Jesus warned us that there will come a time when the darkness of this world will be so great, that no man will be able to work.
