Islands for Fun and Frolic
Months of hard work finally paid off when we delivered a huge project to our customer. Happy with our dedicated effort and the smooth change over to our software with saved him lots of money and time, the customer cleared our invoices in a jiffy. Not only that, he has promised to give us a referral so that we can contact some big names in the field. Elated, we decided to go on a short holiday to the Caribbean before we start scouting around for more work.
Planning a trip to the Caribbean is not an easy, when you have six people who have twelve different opinions when it comes to choosing the destination. I got them all to agree that we should go to the most-visited island in the Caribbean since we would have a better choice of accommodations and activities.
Figuring out which is the most-visited island was quite another story. Dan was certain that Jamaica is the most-visited island while Tina insisted that the Bahamas drew more tourists every year. The Cayman Islands are the best place to be in, according to Randy while Denzel wanted to go with us only if we chose the Dominican Republic. I wasn’t too keen on running around for visas and permits, so I suggested that Puerto Rico might be one of the most-visited islands in the Caribbean.
It is a wonder that we decided to go to Mexico, after all this animated discussion. Why Mexico, you might ask. You see, our friend Sue Lee, tired of all these arguments, devised a chart where all of us had to rate the islands that we wanted to visit giving points from 5 to 1 for each one. The destination with the highest points from all of us was the chosen one. Most of us chose Mexico as our second or third choice and that’s how we ended up going there.
